Real Shoes

I decided it was time for Luca to have some real shoes. So far, he's only worn socks. Bare baby feet just seem so much more comfortable. But he's starting to pull up on everything in sight, cruise around the furniture and it will be no time before he's starting to take those first few steps on his own. (Where did my baby go??)

We decided to start with some lunch at Chili's, which is one of Luca's favorite things to do. (He takes after his mama!) Luca loves going out to eat - all the new sights and sounds and fun people to look at. Luckily there was another little baby right across the aisle for him to make silly faces at. Plus I love times when he can just sit on my lap.

After lunch we went to the Stride Rite store (the place to shop for baby shoes ;) and Luca got professionally fitted. He is a 4.5 extra wide. Shouldn't surprise me! We picked out a pair of brown leather sneakers and tried them on. He didn't seem to care, other than to wonder what was on his feet!

What are they doing to me?

Here they are, the first pair of real shoes.
