Nana and Papa Thieme came to visit this weekend. We had a fabulous time! Luca was so happy to see his grandparents again and Nana and Papa couldn't believe how big he'd gotten. It was such a fun day. We went to Como Zoo for the first time on Saturday and it was a beautiful fall day. Blue skies, 80 degrees, and all the leaves were turned and falling. Luca didn't care much for the animals, but he did love to be outside and look at all the activity. The one animal he did seem to focus on was Sparky, the show sea lion. We sat outside his tank and Luca watched him swim around. Sparky even swam right up to the glass window and stared at Luca!
Papa also gave Luca his first taste of banana! He broke off a little piece for Luca to eat and Luca actually liked it!! So far, he's tried oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and applesauce, but hasn't really liked any of them. We went and bought Luca more bananas and he ate the whole bowl! It was so fun to watch him eat something that he actually liked.
