Swimming Lessons, Take 2....
Wow. The second swimming lesson was intensely worse than the first. We talked about it all week and Luca seemed happy to go to his "lesson" with Daddy, but the minute we got near the pool, he started shaking his head and saying "no, no, no, no." The frown and tears started even before he hit the water. As soon as he DID get in, the LOUD screams, hysterics and shaking started - all while clinging for dear life to Daddy. He was terrified right from the beginning. The instructor encouraged us to try and ignore the crying and screaming and just keep being positive and trying to participate as much as we could. It was incredibly hard to watch, although by the very end of the 30 minutes, I could see Luca was calming down slightly. When he finally got out of the pool, he clapped hard and through chattering teeth said "yaaaaaaay!!" So, he was at least proud of himself. :)
