One Month

Amazing how so much can change in one month. You go from huge and achy and sore and practically immobile to sleep deprived and completely in love. Starting with her birth, Avery has been such a amazing addition to our family. She is just perfect in every way, and I just can't believe how fast the time is going. I want to freeze time once in a while and just hold her tiny hand in mine or remember what it feels like to have her whole body squish up against me. She still falls asleep any time you put her up against your chest or take her out and about in her car seat. When awake, her eyes are wide and curious. She stares at Luca and tolerates him holding her hand. She gets calm and relaxed when we sing Luca's goodnight song that she heard nightly my whole pregnancy. She is starting to give us little previews of her coos and sighs and smiles.

Although I love where she's at right now, Luca has shown us how wonderful it is to watch a child grow. So, we anxiously await seeing how Avery grows and learns and develops her own personality. Happy one month old baby girl! :)
