Luca's Health, Part II

We have been battling Luca's many illnesses for months now. It seems as if the moment he gets over one virus, another one hits him. He's been on antibiotics for ear infections more days than not and he's had three stomach flus in the last 30 days. He had rotavirus all last week (a stomach flu) and missed the entire week of school. He seemed much better over his birthday weekend and the first part of this week and I thought maybe we were turning a corner.

We woke up at 1 am last night, however, to some very strange sounds coming from Luca's room. I went to check on him and he had thrown up all over his crib. I got him out, changed his clothes and sheet and laid him back in bed. The poor sweetie was still half asleep. Not even an hour later, we heard him throwing up again. We took him out, changed him again and put down a new sheet. The third time he threw up, we brought him into bed with us because I was out of crib sheets. He continued to throw up about every 30 minutes until 6 am. Finally at 6 am, he fell into a good sleep and slept until 9 am. (Mama and Daddy were very grateful for that, seeing as how they got maybe 2 hours of sleep).

He spent the day with Mommy, then Daddy and was incredibly tired, only wanting to lay his head down. He had a low fever and no interest in playing. He took three long naps and by bedtime seemed to be doing much better. So, we're hoping this one of those 24 hour bugs. He's had so few of those, it will feel like a treat!

Would you believe this is a sick baby?? He is so good natured. This was towards bedtime though, when I think he was feeling better.
